Glenn Beck, just a few months ago, called Barack Obama a racist, with a "deep seated hatred of white people". This outrageous slander of our first black President was met by advertiser backlash. Led by Color of Change, more than 80 companies demanded Fox drop advertising their products on Glenn Beck's show, one by one. No respectable company wants to be associated with Glenn Beck's race baiting.
So why is Lee Daniels Entertainment advertising its film "Precious" on Glenn Beck's show?
Glenn Beck believes that President Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people":
According to the Media Matters blog County Fair the movie "Precious" (Lee Daniels Entertainment) advertised on Glenn Beck's show last night. "Precious" is about an aspirational but hard-life black American woman. It is produced by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, distributed by Lionsgate films. In case you've never heard of it, here's the trailer:
It's nominated for 3 Golden Globes, including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Picture. Lee Daniels Entertainment has brought some of the best films about black America to the screen, including "Monster's Ball", and now "Precious".
So why is Lee Daniels Entertainment and Lionsgate films supporting Glenn Beck's race-baiting? Could it be accidental? Maybe they weren't careful in their ad-buying to specify that their film not support the race-baiting hatred of Glenn Beck, and Fox thought it would be funny to take Lee Daniel's money and hand it over to Glenn Beck.
Let Lee Daniels Entertainment know that they should stop this, immediately. Email Lee Daniels Entertainment (info@leedanielsentertainment.com) and ask that they stop supporting Glenn Beck's race-baiting.
