"Gosh, Katie -- I read any of them, all of them." So said Sarah Palin, when Catie Couric tried to get her to describe newspapers she reads to be fully informed.
It's the kind of answer which we're used to those who don't live in the reality-based community giving -- nebulous, non-specific, and completely incredible.
But, it's a good question nonetheless, because people's news sources shape their world views; and in today's chaotic world, being fully and relevantly informed is more important than ever. People read the Washington Post for all its inside-the-beltway perspective -- which, if you want a complete world-view, is absolutely essential. People read the Wall Street Journal (and not the Editorial page!) for its comprehensive reporting on activity in the world's largest economy.
Couric couldn't get an answer from Palin. So what to Kossacks say: what news sources do you need, to stay fully and relevantly informed?
Start by listing with your own, and why you think they're relevant. Then, go ahead and list others which are needed to be fully and relevantly informed.
A further challenge: The list should not be a single-source longer than it needs to be, to keep a person fully and relevantly informed.
